Hello! It's nice to meet you.

I'm Alex, a software architect based on the German North Coast. I've been building software for almost a decade now, starting in 2017 as a backend developer, moving through DevOps, and growing into the role of solution architect. These days I work at Materna, where I design and build modern cloud platforms, resilient software systems, and the infrastructure that powers them.
My path into software hasn't followed a single straight line. I first completed an apprenticeship as a Fachinformatiker für Anwendungsentwicklung, then trained as a Mediengestalter. That combination of engineering and design still shapes the way I work — I care about systems that are robust under the hood and thought through right from the start. Over the years I've worked with prointernet and Apozin before joining Materna, and I've kept learning as the field has moved — collecting certifications across DevOps, ISAQB software architecture, and STACKIT engineering.
Outside of work, my favourite companion is my dog Ozzy, and I still keep a soft spot for skateboarding. And of course, I'm a self-declared cluster lover — happy in the terminal whenever there's something to untangle.
